cupen 2011/12
FA-cupen (offisielt navn The Football Association Challenge Cup) er det
viktigste
cupmesterskapet i engelsk fotball, og verdens eldste
fotballturnering. Den aller første
finalen ble spilt i 1872 på Kennington Oval i London. Finalen har
siden 1923 vanligvis
blitt spilt på Wembley i London.

Manchester United har vunnet FA-cupen flest ganger - elleve i alt. To
klubber har
vunnet cupen tre år på rad - Wanderers (1876-78) og Blackburn
(1884-86), mens
Leicester er den uheldige innehaveren av rekorden å ha vært i
finalen ved
fire anledninger,
men har aldri greid å vinne.
